Reformer Pilates

Reformer classes provide multiple layering of exercises, with the options to increase or decrease intensity and resistance by adjusting the number of springs. This targets every part of the body through the additional use of hand/ankle weights, ball, circle, band to exercise even though super tiny muscles, making sure you get the absolute most out of your class! enjoy class styles - reformer strength, jump, flow and yin.

 

Most of all, it’s fun and enjoyable! Classes can be fast and intense, or slow and controlled, or a combination of both!

 

Everyone of all ages and abilities are welcome movement is for everyone.

Reformer Pilates FLOW

The Perfectly balanced Reformer Pilates Class that you have come to know and love.

Following the same creative structure unique to the Studio, the NEW name FLOW, emphasises the variation of FULL BODY Pilates exercises & challenges that FLOW seamlessly throughout Class.

Every exercise provide many layers to Intensify/challenge or to modify to suit how your body is feeling. FLOW Classes focus on a variation of stability exercises with light tension targeting the small muscle groups & heavy tension focusing on large muscle groups, leaving you noticing the overall difference from 1 class to another.

 

Each Pilates exercise is further sequenced to focus on control, balance, deep activation to enhance muscular strength & endurance, joint range of motion, overall mobility, injury prevention, flexibility and overall lengthening, releasing tension.

FLOW Classes utilise all Pilates props to further enhance and elevate exercises. These Include, the circle, stability ball, heavy ball, hand weights, ankle weights, resistance band, box, pole attachment & jump board

 

Like always, Every class offered at the Studio Is designed for EVERYONE. No matter If you’ve never done pilates before, your fitness level or age. Every exercise provide variation to take at your own challenge level.

Reformer Pilates STRENGTH

A specialised Reformer class, blending the principles of pilates alongside clinical guidelines for strength training.

If you’re looking for that extra strength challenge, this class Is for you!

Strength classes use all your favourite pilates exercises, with a specific focus and change of dynamic!

Classes will focus on time under tension, spring loading, progressive overload and working large muscle groups to fatigue. These exercises are gentle on your joints and are created with variations to suit your body.

You will understand the purpose of each exercise, where and how It Is meant to feel and why we are doing It. Allowing you to have an In depth understanding of your body and pilates.

If you are a pilates regular and are looking for an extra challenge to continue strength progression, or are starting outand simply want to increase functional strength & mobility, this class will be the perfect addition alongside all other reformer styles.

motivation Mondays

WARM Reformer YIN

A beautiful, slow and meditative class in the warm Infrared heat, where YIN yoga deep fascial stretches are experienced with the resistance and versatility of a reformer machine.

Reformer YIN Classes will guide you through breath work, myo-fascial release, deep and gentle stretches.

 

Classes will enhance mental clarity and flexibility, feeling supported through melting and releasing deep tension. Most Importantly, finding prolonged stillness, where your mind and body can surrender.

 

Classes will Incorporate yoga bolsters, lavender eye pillows, rubber massage balls, yoga blocks, ambient music, mood lighting, essential oil diffuser and warm Infrared heat.

 

Reformer YIN Classes are open to anyone and everyone, even If you’ve haven’t experienced YIN Yoga or Reformer.

Studio temperature - 25 degrees.

Reformer Pilates JUMP

Everything you love about Reformer Pilates exercises, with the addition of weekly JUMP Classes!

Jump boards Insert at the end of the reformer machine, where you can push off the board, creating an extra cardio dynamic and challenge

Classes incorporate extra powerful bursts of cardio energy, Increasing your heart rate and experiencing that extra rush of feel good feelings.

Classes are created with all pilates principles, full body focus and activation, exercise modification, option to jump/push plus varying Intensities to suit your challenge level!

Reformer Pilates
FUNDAMENTALS

A Class designed at a slightly slower pace, with an in depth understanding of the fundamentals behind the exercisesPLUS how and where you are meant to feel activation. This will allow you to further understand how the pilates props & reformer machine works.

 

This Class works through very similar exercises to all other reformer classes, just with a little less variation and more time working through the exercise It self.

 

This class is great, if you would like to start pilates but feel nervous to join a regular class, if you would love to learn how to adjust the exercises to your body, or have recently fully recovered from an injury and easing back into exercise!

 

PLEASE NOTE! You are welcome to join any class that suits you best, even If Its your first time! This class Is an option for those people who are wanting the above.

Mat-Work

HOT Mat-Work Pilates

HOT MAT-WORK Pilates Class in an infrared heated studio, heats your body instantly promoting improved circulation, flexibility, reduces soreness & stiffness!

 

Mat Pilates Classes, enhanced by heat -  flows through sequences of exercises designed to increase strength, joint mobility and overall physical well-being.

 

HOT Mat-work pilates classes are open to all levels and abilities, every exercise provide layers and variations to suit your body and choose your Intensity, with exercises targeting your full body!

 

Mat pilates classes use lots of different props Including 1-3kg hand weights, stability ball, core sliders and resistance bands.

 

If you feel a little nervous about the heat, you can go either ends of the Studio where there are no heaters right above you! Drink breaks and reset always encourage, and you can always step out the back room If you need!

 

Studio temperature - 30 degrees.

HOT Mat-Work Pilates
FUNDAMENTALS

If you would love to experience a HOT Mat pilates class, but just feel a little nervous about the exercises itself or doing pilates in a heated studio - This class will be a perfect starting point.

 

The temperature of the room will still be the same as regular HOT Classes with similar exercises, however there will be less variation of each specific exercise, focussing on the foundation -  allowing you to progressively adapt the exercises to your body, whilst feeling supported and encouraged to take It to your own personal challenge level.

 

Fundamentals classes will still  engage, activate and work the full body with options for varying Intensities and challenge points, so you still feel the same effect as any class!

 

HOT Mat pilates classes are open to everyone! Even If Its your first time, you can still join any regular class, this class has a slightly different focus, If you feel this will suit you best!

HOT Barre Pilates

Feel all the benefits of BARRE Pilates whilst utilising heat therapy at the same time.

BARRE Pilates is a combination of full body dynamic exercises performed on a wall mounted barre. Classes are designed to increase your heart rate, whilst improving endurance, strength,  balance and range of motion.

Where Ballet principles meets dynamic Pilates exercises in an enjoyable medium-fast pace class, designed for all fitness levels.

Studio temperature - 27-30 degrees!

Mums&Babies
POST NATAL REFORMER PILATES

Reformer Pilates Class where your baby can come along, and lay next to you!

 

A strong focus on post natal exercises, slowly working through abdominal connection such as supporting any abdominal separation, and re-building strength & stability In the lower abdominals.

Engaging and focussing on pelvic floor activation and movement suitable to post natal mums including strengthening, lengthening and releasing tension points.

This Class will flow through full body exercises & challenges, In a slow pace, supported environment. This will allow you to adapt the movement to feel good within your body!

This class Is suitable for all mums at any stage!

 

PLEASE NOTE!

Please ensure you have received medical clearance after child birth to re-commence exercise!

This class is only for babies, as the Studio is a little dangerous for on the move toddlers!
